"Mastering Offensive Security: Insights from the Barracks to the Boardroom"

In this session, Senior Solutions Architect Matt Twells will leverage his diverse experiences - ranging from his time in the British Army's Royal Corps of Signals and the UK Ministry of Defence to his work in financial services and private sector consulting - to shed light on the key strategies and tactics in offensive security. He will delve into how some core military strategy concepts can be put to effective use by those tasked with running today's cybersecurity organizations. Drawing parallels between the battlefield and the boardroom, Matt will underscore the need for constant vigilance, agility, and the ability to anticipate adversarial moves in the realm of cybersecurity. He will explore how lessons learned from the military battlefield such as clear communication, situational awareness, decentralized command, and rapid response to threats are equally applicable and vital in the cyber battlefield.
