AWS is an invaluable tool for companies that want to manage their cloud infrastructure efficiently. However, a misconfiguration of permissions and roles in AWS can expose the enterprise to serious security risks, including the possibility of a user with limited privileges gaining access to management functions.

This presentation will explore the risks associated with misconfiguration in AWS and how to prevent a ReadOnly user from gaining admin privileges. We will discuss common scenarios where misconfiguration can put an enterprise's entire infrastructure and data at risk and tools and best practices that can help detect and correct insecure configurations.
