"Unconventional Paths in Cybersecurity"
Date/Time: Saturday, Feb. 15 at 9-9:45 a.m.
Speakers: Alissa Gilbert
Abstract: You don't need to go to school or take a boot camp to get into cybersecurity. You don't need the typical job either. There's a lot more to security than flashy red teaming or boring compliance. There are positions that require security experience, but aren't formally security jobs. There are way into the career that you may not have thought of before. Come see the other side of cybersecurity.
"LLMs: Your Wireless Hacking Friend"
Date/Time: Saturday, Feb. 15 at 4-4:30 p.m.
Speakers: Alissa Gilbert
Abstract: LLMs are more useful than just writing your book report for you. In this talk, we will walk through some of the uses of LLMs in hacking, specifically for wireless penetration testing. Is that log confusing, or can't tell what encryption is being used to crack it? What about exploitation? It's as easy as asking. This talk will share the prompts needed for wireless testing, some examples, and best practices to make sure your LLM isn't going off the rails. You'll walk away with some examples to try out on your own (authorized of course).
