Allan Cecil Bishop Fox Alumnus

Allan Cecil (known online as dwangoAC) is a Bishop Fox alumnus. During his time at Bishop Fox, Allan served as a Security Consultant, applying his expertise in offensive security to help clients strengthen their defenses. He is also the former President of the North Bay Linux Users’ Group, where he fostered a vibrant open-source community and mentored technology enthusiasts of all levels.

Beyond his professional consulting work, Allan is widely recognized for his leadership and community contributions in the world of tool-assisted speedrunning. He serves as the senior ambassador for TASVideos.org, a long-standing hub for showcasing how emulators can be used to complete video games as quickly as possible—sometimes in ways the original developers never imagined.

Allan is also a familiar face at Games Done Quick charity marathons, where he brings TASBot, a hardware tool-assisted speedrun robot, to center stage. With TASBot, Allan has captivated global audiences by demonstrating groundbreaking glitches, never-before-seen tricks, and precision runs that would be impossible for human players. These performances not only highlight technical creativity but also raise millions of dollars for causes such as Doctors Without Borders and the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

In addition to his public-facing roles, Allan is an advocate for bridging the gap between security, open-source development, and gaming culture. He regularly shares his knowledge through talks, livestreams, and mentoring, inspiring both security professionals and gaming enthusiasts to push the boundaries of what’s possible in their respective fields.
