"Cyber Mirage: How AI is Shaping The Future of Social Engineering"

The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed the landscape of social engineering and given rise to a new class of AI-powered cyber threats.

Earlier this year, a finance professional at a multinational firm in Hong Kong was deceived into transferring $25 million to scammers, who leveraged real-time deepfake and voice-cloning technology to impersonate the company's chief financial officer on a video conference call.

This talk aims to illuminate the sophisticated capabilities that AI brings to the table and will offer an in-depth walk-through of how to create and train hyper-realistic, cinematic quality deepfake video and voice clone models using a combination of open-source software, professional photography/lighting/recording equipment and cinematic techniques.

We will also demonstrate real-time deepfake video/voice cloning and share insight how they can be leveraged by cybersecurity professionals to conduct highly effective social engineering during red teaming engagements.
