Evan D. Wolff is a partner in Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld's Washington, D.C. office, where he serves as co-head of the firm's Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection practice and is a member of its Government Contracts and National Security & Global Investigations practices. Evan has a national reputation for his deep technical background and understanding of complex cybersecurity legal and policy issues. Calling upon his experience as a scientist, program manager, and lawyer, he takes an innovative approach to developing blended legal, technical, and governance solutions that prepare organizations for rapid, comprehensive responses to evolving cybersecurity threats. Over the past two decades, Evan has led investigations into hundreds of cybersecurity incidents, conducted training and incident simulations, developed response plans, and advised clients through complex data breaches, working closely with forensic investigators. He is a former advisor to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and currently serves as an adjunct professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
